Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) |
Search engine optimisation is for people who wish to improve their website's interaction with Search Engines, therefore increasing their website's productivity and effectiveness.
Search engine optimisation is about making small modifications to many parts of your website. When viewed individually, these changes might seem like incremental improvements, but when combined with other optimisations they can have a noticable impact on your site's user experience and your performance in the search engine results. This means that you get seen more by the right type of people!

Optimising your website for search engines is important, and according to Google you "should base your optimisation decisions first and foremost on what's best for the visitors to your site." These 'visitors' are the main consumers of your content, and are merely using the search engines to find your site's content.
"It's about putting your best foot forward." Search Engine Optimisation is a step-by-step process. We find that maximising on each aspect of your website takes time, and making these incremental changes benefits your site more than making all the changes at once. Getting your website optimised will help build your site's reputation with Google users and the rest of the internet community.
There are many aspects of your website which require analysis and optimisation including:
- Making sure your site and it's content
is unique and accurate
- Proper practices for Meta Tagging
- Improving the URL Structure
- Tagging and optimising images
- Re-evaluating your hyperlinks
- Your site's navigation structure
- Sitemaps & Verification
- Creating useful 404 Pages
- Including Robots.txt files
- Linking to other sites
- Promoting your services
- Webmaster Tools & Analytics Tracking

What is SEO?
(Search Engine Optimisaiton)
|
Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results.
Typically, the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine.
SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence. |
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for.
Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.
