All of our website design sessions are conducted on the telephone and internet, so you can relax and enjoy the process from the comfort of your own space.

You are able to see the design develop, allowing you to decide and comment upon every aspect of the design as we go. It is a truly co-creative process which is not only fun and effective but saves us all energy, travel-time and fuel!

Important Notes on Web Design Session Timing:

Some clients will require additional time to build their website. It is best to discuss your requirements with Vibodha ahead of time.


Why would we go overtime?

1. Some clients have large amounts of information (articles, recipes, products, galleries) or and abundance of images which require time to optimise and insert *see main content in body of page.

2. Indecision. You must be confident of making decisions regarding the look and feel of your site as we go. You are the best qualified to decide if you like colours, fonts and images. The important thing is to be prepared to create and to be authentic with your opinions.

3. Re-visiting either the design or the content of the pages after we have formatted them will push us over time. Of course, we have built in time to fix the odd spelling or grammatical mistake - no worries there.

4. Designing with multiple people: If designing with more than one person, you will require approximately 1 - 1.5 hours additional time. This has occurred numerous times, (yes, even with intimate partners) and is only due to the time it takes to sync two sets of opinions into one satisfying design.

Designing your website with Uplift Design is a truly co-creative process. We design your website WITH you, not FOR you. We know that YOU are the one who will know when your website reflects your intent and represents your business.

To do this, we work together LIVE over the internet and co-creatively design the way your website looks, feels and works. You are involved in every step of the process and are fully empowered to make creative choices which produce excellent results. See our portfolio for examples.

7 Hours of Design Sessions:

Website Design Sessions are timed-sessions based on designing a 10 to 12 page website or smaller. Sessions are held live online and on the telephone (we will call you) and are co-creative, enjoyable, highly productive sessions.

You will receive documents by email to assist you to prepare for each session in advance. You will choose how long you will need in between your sessions to prepare yourself for your next session which adds to the success and productivity of our time together.

How does the 7 hour Website Design process work?
All of our Website Design Sessions are held LIVE over the internet. You are an active participant in these sessions and are able to watch your website unfold online, every step of the way. It is a truly innovate, amazing and co-creative process. We will telephone you for your web design sessions on any land-line or mobile number, saving you the cost of the calls.
Our first website design session is 3 hours:
This is where we create the overall look and feel of your website including the banner, background and buttons (navigation). In this first session together we will bring your ideas to life. By the end of this session the 'design' of your site will be complete, ready for the insertion of content in session 2.
Our second session is 2 hours:
This session is all about the content of your website. The session comprises of inserting your text and images into your pages and formatting them to look beautiful. By the end of this session you are able to click through the pages of your site - this is where your site truly starts to become interactive. We will guide you on how to create your content before this session and will share resources for images and photos if you don't have your own.
Our third session is 2 hours:
This is the final session. Used mostly for adjustments, minor layout modifications, adding missing photos or information not inserted in the second session. We will code your website with basic keywords for the search engines to support in the ranking of your website assist in future Search Engine Optimisation. Finally, we will upload your site to your web hosting space and you're officially online!
This process is possible with the understanding that you will be prepared for your sessions.
Price Includes:

Custom designed html website of 12 page or less with CSS styling using the latest website graphics techniques, fully compatible with all web browsers, iPhones & Smartphones as well as Android and iOs touch screen devices including the Apple iPad.

Including (if applicable):

  • 2-3 photos per page (cost of stock photography not included)
  • One contact or registration form
    (up to 10 fields)
  • One embedded Google map
  • Embedding up to 2 YouTube videos
  • Coding in of basic Keywords
  • Your website uploaded to website hosting space on the internet (web hosting fees apply)
  • Consultation & advice on how to create and sustain an effective web presence.

Photography, images and text are to be supplied by you.

Price does not Include:
  • Website Updating system or additional changes between sessions
  • Google Analytics tracking to analyse your website's progress
  • Shopping Carts or Mailing lists
  • Additional features such as email marketing, custom web graphics, flash slide shows, sound files or calendars.
  • Text links to Facebook, Twitter, Youtube (see Social Networking) Integration of Social Network Feeds (Facebook/Twitter)
  • Databases
  • Advanced SEO: Search Engine Optimisation (Search Engine Ranking)
  • Google Places integration

Each of these services is available to enhance your web presence. We will make recommendations based on our discussions with you during our sessions and will suggest solutions based on what you wish to achieve. Note that integrating these features will require additional time.

Pricing & Payment Terms:
Website Design Sessions are paid on the day of your session, the same way you would with a therapy, counselling or professional session. Direct Bank Transfer or Credit Card (3% surcharge applies) are accepted means of payment on the day. If you wish to pay by cheque please advice us in advance of your session.

Additional Time:

We have created over two hundred websites using this process since 1999. If you are fully prepared for each session, this process works perfectly.

Some clients require larger websites including an abundance of images /photos /galleries or multiple sub-pages (articles, recipes, more info pages). These WILL take more time to complete, of course! We will discuss this with you during our initial consultation, prior to working with you as a client. If you fall into these categories, you should discuss this with us during this initial consultation.

We have created many large scale websites for clients, and the additional time required to build these sites is charged at our standard hourly rate of $165 per hour +gst or part of. Contact us and we will discuss your ideas during a free initial consultation.

 
Website Running Costs:
There are two ongoing costs related to owning EVERY website: Detailed information about each of these costs can be found on this page.
  1. Domain Name (Web Address) = Avg $88 for 2 yrs registration
  2. Website Hosting Space = Avg $120 per year

We will help you register a Domain Name and get Website Hosting Space which will be fully compatible with your website's features.

 
We are here to help you add to, enhance, expand and optimise your website
once it has been launched onto the internet.
Updating Your Website:
We recommend that you update your website at least twice a year, however we will design your website with the plan it to be self-sustaining for at least six months. It is important to keep your website updated and your content current. Just like planting a tree and taking the time to feed, water and prune it - your website should be maintained every few months to keep it growing healthy and strong. Contact us to discuss the updating system that is best for you.
Update Your Own Website (recommended):

It is great to be self-sufficient and empowered to update your own website. We can build in a Content Management System into your website called the Integrated Website Updating System.

  • Change your website (including images) quickly, easily and whenever you like from any computer anywhere.
  • Change dates and session times
  • Add sub-pages to your website (articles, recipes, etc.)
  • Advance Optimise your website yourself using your website statistics to see what is working.

Average Integration Costs: The Integrated Website Updating System is in addition to your annual hosting and domain name fees and is payable directly to Holistic Hosting.

License Fee: $180 per year
Installation Fee: $230 (one off cost)
Training: $165 +gst for 1 hour tutorial (one off cost)
Total: $575

Updating your site with Uplift Design:

Website updating sessions are recommended to ensure your website continues to provide current valid content. We recommend updating your site at least twice a year.

Uplift Design is available for appointments to update your site with you to ensure that we get all the changes/updates made quickly and accurately. We do not update your website via email. Using Uplift Design to update your site brings with it our many years of experience and advice which includes excellent suggestions which we will make during the session based on your changing focus and direction.

This is the time to enhance and grow your website by:

  • Adding sections to your site (resources, articles, photos, course descriptions, products)
  • Changing dates and other time-sensitive content
  • Adding rich media which you have created since the last update. For instance: Youtube Videos, Slide shows, custom Web Graphics.

Cost of Updating Sessions:
We have sessions as short at 10 minutes and as long as 3 hours, depending on your needs. All sessions are billed at our standard hourly rate of $165 +gst per hour or part of.

Together, using the same online/telephone process we can create Business Cards, Flyers, Posters, Book/ CD Covers, etc based on your new website's design.
